An appeal for veterans and serving members of the military from the area to attend the funeral of a D-Day Veteran has been made.
Ken Custus sadly died aged 96 on 1st September and one of his comrades is asking any veterans who are available to attend Ken’s funeral and form a guard of honour.
Mike Rubery from the Bridlington Royal Naval Association, said: “Are there any veteran friends available to help form a guard of honour for the WW2 Legion D’honneur recipient?”
The funeral of Ken Custus is taking place this Friday, 17 September at Octon starting at 2:30pm.
