Bridlington sisters Darla (9) and Callie Tindall (7) had a fantastic weekend recently, competing at the United Twirl England National Championships in Blackpool.
They faced teams from across the UK and the Isle of Man and came home with seven national titles between them.
The talented duo were crowned National Champions in Duet Showtwirl, an event combining baton twirling, pom and ribbon dancing, and also placed third in the Duet Baton, competing against performers up to their teenage years.
Individually, Callie was named National Champion in Artistic, Solo Pom and Lyrical, and also placed third in Basic Strut. Darla took home National Champion titles in Solo Pom and Basic Strut, as well as third place in Lyrical and Artistic.
Between them, the girls competed in seven events over the weekend, including making it through to final callbacks in several categories.
Their mum, Lily, said: “It’s such an incredible achievement for two young athletes with such bright futures ahead.”
