Bridlington and surrounding areas were soaking up the sunshine as temperatures climbed into the late 20s on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, creating perfect conditions for thousands heading to the coast.
South Beach was packed with families, holidaymakers and residents making the most of the warm weather, with colourful windbreaks, beach towels and ice creams becoming a familiar sight along the golden sands.
Promenades were buzzing with activity as people enjoyed fish and chips, seaside treats and walks along the coastline, while many headed into the sea to cool off in what felt like a classic British summer day.
With blue skies stretching across the East Yorkshire coast, many described it as the British seaside at its very best.
Visitors could be seen relaxing on the sand, children built sandcastles and queues formed outside cafés and ice cream parlours as the resort enjoyed one of its busiest and warmest days of the year so far.
For many, it was the perfect end to the Bank Holiday weekend – sun, sea and smiles in Bridlington.
