Green-fingered people are being urged to join in a community allotment scheme in Bridlington.
Transition Town Bridlington is a friendly group of people whose aim is to help Bridlington’s transition to a sustainable future by increasing its self-sufficiency.
The group only use organic plant-based manures, avoid buying new plastic goods, try to use recycled materials where possible and use a battery powered strimmer, charged using electricity generated by solar power, to cut the grass.
Sessions take place every Sunday in October from 2pm to 4pm at the allotment behind Morrison’s on Bessingby Way.
