Budding artists at a Bridlington primary school have been busy creating ceramics to celebrate a special anniversary.
All the pupils from Our Lady and St Peter Primary school will design and create ceramic tiles to celebrate 40 years of the school opening.
Teacher Miss Hillman explained: “The ceramic tiles will be used in a giant commemorative display in the reception area of the school.”
“The pupils had guidance from the ceramic artists from the Mushroom Pottery who taught them how to work with clay.”
“The school would like to say thank-you to the Lords Feoffees who part funded the ceramic lessons and costs. We are still looking for any businesses who would be interested in helping out with the remaining classes.”
The school will be holding a year of celebration, culminating in a special birthday celebration in early July.
The ECHO will be keeping our readers up to date with forthcoming events.
