A popular village pub has been awarded the title of ‘Best Pub in East Yorkshire.’
The Olde Star in Kilham was announced as county winners in the National Pub & Bar Awards for the second year in a row.
Owner Lucy Saville said: “This is the second year in a row that we have won the East Riding title, which is a fantastic achievement for us we are extremely proud as a family to have been recognised for all of our hard work.”
The awards are held under the auspices of H20 Publishing, which is one of the leading foodservice publishers in the UK.
A mystery shopper visited the pub and marked the facility for quality of food, service and cleanliness.
The Old Star Inn is now shortlisted for a regional title which will be announced at London’s iconic BAFTA Theatre on 22nd May, where the Savilles will also receive the county award.
