A Bridlington pensioner whose radio show is broadcast worldwide is winning plaudits and big audiences after just over a year on air.
Bob Brown, seventy-one, is a well-known figure around town and after recently starting his own radio and feature show he was approached by Beacon of Light Radio to host a weekly programme.
Bob said: “My show, called Over The Rainbow, covers a wide range of subjects including; The unexplained, UFO’s, The Paranormal and Cryptozoology, Big Foot, Aliens as well as highlighting local, national, and international musical talent and published authors.”
The American internet-based broadcaster appeals to a wide range of listeners worldwide from all age groups. Audiences of hundreds of thousands tune into the station every day.
Bob has interviewed many people from all walks of life: “In the past I have interviewed some wonderful guests including Bridlington-based author Paul Sinclair, local rock band Alice in Thunderland, and opera singer Jessica Pymm from Driffield.”
“Other guests have included 1970’s singer Patti Boulaye OBE, Sue Hodge from Allo Allo (she played Mimi Labong), and TV actress Francoise Pascale (Mind Your Language). I have also interviewed best selling authors Peter Robbins and Christopher Turner, documentary maker and American psychic medium Michelle Whitedove just to name a few” Bob said.
Having worked in the hospitality industry and latterly in the care profession, Bob also volunteers for a Scarborough based charity in his spare time.
“It all started in 2014 when I was asked to speak on radio stations in Germany and America about my work as a psychic medium….and I haven’t looked back.”
