A survey by the consumer organisation Which? members ranked Bridlington almost at the bottom of a list of resorts around the country, but nearby Filey came in 8th position.
The criteria marked resorts out of five for the following sections;
Average Hotel Rate
Peace and Quiet
Value for Money
The winner was Bamburgh, which came out with a rating of 85%.
Filey ranked as the eight best resort with a rating of 80%.
Bridlington, whilst scoring well on beaches only scored one star for attractions, and received an overall rate of 61%.
Over 4000 people were said to have taken part in the survey by the consumer organisation – Which?.
