A Bridlington mum and her son are helping other children in the area by creating themed bags and care packs.
Nicky Rudd has created a fundraiser called Kicks for Kids and hopes to receive donations to create gift bags containing items such as toys, stationery, baby products, and toiletries.
“After being inspired by my best friend in London (who is a policewomen and was going house to house giving kids in need toys and gifts), my son William aged 11, and my partner John decided we wanted to do our bit to help kids in our area – and so Kicks for Kids was born.”
Nicky and William have already created their first 30 bags of toys, stationery and other goodies for 15 boys and 15 girls. They are also planning to run a series of raffles with top quality prizes on offer.
“We contacted the team at The Hinge and donated the bags to them to distribute to children who will benefit from them. The first lot of bags has been funded solely by myself so it would be great to get further funds to create more bags.” added Nicky.
