Chef, Shaun Pendlebury has opened a new local venture…. and he hopes to make his unique mark on casual fine dining in Bridlington, and beyond. Shaun has worked in several restaurants in the Lake District and has also worked in Michelin starred kitchens as he learnt the art of high-class cooking. And with a move to the east coast comes a new chapter for Shaun.
The Coach House Bistro on Windsor Crescent is now open for business and has already received rave reviews from many customers. Shaun said: “My aim to is to get at least a two AA Rosette rating and I feel that the Coach House is the place to do this.” “There has been some amazing feedback and I have been blown away by the Facebook reviews. I pride myself on the personal approach and I always try to talk to every diner about all aspects of their meal.” Shaun continued. After several months of looking for the right location, Shaun, originally from Blackburn, selected the venue and opened up for business in June. The ready availability of quality shellfish and seafood also drew Shaun, 35, to the coast. “I love cooking seafood and our menu changes weekly depending on availability. The fabulous Bridlington crab and lobster feature as regular dishes on the menu”, he continued.
Everything when possible is made and prepared on-site from butter to the ice cream.
With the abundance of the fresh local shellfish, a regular dish will be the ever-popular seafood platter. Steaks also feature prominently and Shaun is currently offering a Wednesday evening special – two 8oz sirloin steaks and bottle of wine for two, priced at £35. “My concept for the Coach House is a neighbourhood bistro, with casual dining, in an authentic setting,” he added.
