EVERY dog has its day, and a group of happy hounds and their owners had their big day out on the south beach at Bridlington recently
A ‘Doggy Christmas’ party attracted guests to Richie’s Cafe and in the process helped to raise £250 for the Starlight Children’s Foundation Charity which enables seriously ill children with life limiting conditions make their dreams come true.

Event organiser Anthea Joels explained. “We had 26 dogs and owners and collected £51.00 for the Starlight Charity. The charity gives very poorly children a chance to fulfill their wishes.
“As it was also my 70th birthday, so I asked family and friends to donate money in lieu of presents. We had a final a total of £250.00 to send to the charity.”said Anthea
Dogs of all shapes and sizes enjoyed doggy treats and a run on the beach despite the damp and overcast weather. They even ‘paws-ed’ for a photo session with the Echo cameraman
