Pudsey and his friends from Bridlington Round Table made a grand tour of schools and villages in the area recently to help fundraise for the annual Children in Need event.
Children from the following schools were visited by Pudsey and his friends; Martonagate, New Pasture Lane, Burton Agnes, Boynton, Bempton, Flamborough, Hilderthorpe, Bay Primary, Quay Academy, Our Lady & St Peter, Bridlington Children’s Centre, and Burlington. A fantastic total of £3246.44 was collected and a spokesman from Round Table said: “Many thanks to all the schools and staff for helping to raise such a magnificent sum. This is the highest total we have ever raised.”
Meanwhile, at Bempton Village Hall, the local dance group raised a wonderful £630 for Children in Need from the monthly November Tea Dance.
Mel Parker from the group said; “Many thanks to the 60 dancers who attended. We had home-made cakes and refreshments and a great afternoon of fundraising fun.”
