Team members from Lloyd Dowson, Chartered Accountants, Tax and Business Advisors completed a community clean up at Danes Dyke at Flamborough.
Danes Dyke was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 2002 in recognition of its wildlife value and its importance to the local community. Local Nature Reserves aim to protect places of special interest and provide opportunities for research, education and informal enjoyment.
The reserve is part of one of the finest stretches of coastland on the East Coast. This unique sea and cliff environment are protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and its seabird colonies mark it as a Special Protection Area. In 1979 the area was designated a Heritage Coast due to its rich history and landscape.
In order to help maintain the beauty of the local nature trail, team members from Lloyd Dowson cleared items of litter which had ended up in that area.
Vanessa Rowbottom, Director of Lloyd Dowson said “It was suggested that as part of our community work we could encourage the team to help look after the environment by clearing litter from a designated place. It was agreed that Danes Dyke would be a good location for this to take place.”
