There has been verified reports today of Palm Oil lumps being washed up on beaches on the east coast.
Palm Oil is toxic to dogs and has been found washed up on beaches in Lincolnshire.
With this in mind, and after a weekend of rough seas and bad weather, there is a chance that this substance could be washed up on the local beaches around Bridlington, Flamborough and Filey.
The Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust is urging owners in that region to keep their dogs on a lead when on the beach, and be vigilant for lumps of Palm Oil in that coastal area.
The same advice will apply to the East Yorkshire beaches.
