All railway memorabilia inside will be sold at auction
Thousands of items of railway related memorabilia are to be auctioned after the doors of a popular cafe will close for the last time on Christmas Eve.
The contents of the Bridlington Station Buffet and Restroom will be put up for action by Driffield-based Spicers Auctioneers and Valuers.
The huge collection has been built up by the owner over 17 years and can be viewed at the Spicers Driffield Saleroom in the days before the sale, which will be held on February 14th, 2020.
It is understood that the present owner is selling the business due to retirement. He has also been responsible for the stunning flower displays on the station concourse during the summer months. This has seen the unique cafe win many Bloom Awards and plaudits from thousands of passengers.
Among the lots for sale will be train and station nameplates, signs of all shapes and sizes, posters, advertising memorabilia, timetables, lamps, and much more that will be of great interest to railway enthusiasts and collectors.
