Every dog has its day……and October 1st marked the start of the season where our four-legged friends are allowed on all parts of East Riding Beaches.

To mark the event, dozens and dogs and their owners descend on the beach to enjoy a stroll and a swim in the sea.

After the beach walk, all attendees and their hounds were invited to Richie’s Cafe for a bacon butty and cuppa, with proceeds going towards the Make-a-Wish Children’s Charity. A grand total of £120 was raised and the organisers would like to thank singing duo George and Viv (Give and Take) who provided musical entertainment and also to Richard Preston at Richie’s for organising plates of sausages for the dogs.

Organiser Anthea Joels said: “Viv and George gave us fun songs and Smurphy and Bilbo loved sharing sausages with all their doggie mates! Even the sun came out for us. Many thanks to everyone for coming down.”
