A Bridlington businesswoman has urged people to donate to a fund that she has set up which helps provide specialty bras for cancer sufferers.
Angela Langton, who owns Angela Bare on Quay Road, set up the appeal to donate new bras to ladies who have undergone a Mastectomy.
Said Angela: “Over the past 5 years I have provided one free Mastectomy bra to cancer patients..I have raised thousands to fund this as it is so needed.”
Having opened her first boutique fashion shop in Bridlington over five years ago, Angela has now opened three more shops in York, Windermere and Glasgow.
“We provide Anita bras to our ladies and if they require any further bras we provide those at cost price.” said Angela
She continued: “It is definitely needed and this is my 6th year of doing the appeal on top of my full time work. I have helped so many ladies across the UK and its my absolute pleasure to give a little back to the community and to those going through the tremendous pressure that a mastectomy brings.”
Donations to the fund are welcome at Angela’s shops or online at https://www.gofundme.com/f/mastectomy-bra-funding
“We know it can be difficult and we really want to help. We do post out the bras as well if anyone can’t get to our shop in Bridlington where my project started. The collection costs us between £5000 to £10,000 year so I’m constantly asking for support and help” she added.
