A memorial bench has been unveiled to commemorate a well-respected villager.
Keith Hawkins, who lived and worked in Burton Agnes sadly died last year at the age of 89.
Keith worked at Burton Agnes Hall from the age of 14, and was employed for a grand total 75 years by the family who owns the Hall.
In his memory, the North Wolds Lions Club and Keith’s closest friend Mick Hoggett, funded a memorial bench seat which has been placed at the front of the house in the grounds of the Hall.
Said Keith Harris Vice President of North Wolds Lions: “Keith was a good friend and strong supporter of the North Wolds Lions Club for 33 years and the bench has been inscribed accordingly.”
