Bridlington RSPCA have received a cheque for £640 – the proceeds from funds that were raised at a quiz night in memory of a well-known councillor.
The Old Bridlingtonian Masonic Lodge hosted a Quiz Night and also a organised a Barbecue to raise money in memory of Richard Harrap who sadly died in May this year.
Richard was a well-loved and highly respected Bridlington resident who was a member of many local organisations. He was also a ward councillor representing Bridlington North for ERYC. He was also a great animal lover and could often be seen around Sewerby Park and the town walking his dog.
Kay Harrison from Bridlington RSPCA said: “We are very grateful to the Old Bridlingtonian Lodge for their support to us and particularly so for raising the funds in memory of Richard Harrap who loved animals and was a good friend to our local Branch.”
