Youngsters from Bay Primary school were offered a unique insight into the world of communications and the media during a trip to the Bridlington Spa.

ERYC and the Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University teamed up to offer pupils the chance to learn about the skills involved in careers such as journalism, public relations and marketing and get the chance to put those new-found skills to the test with an exciting challenge.

They were tasked with interviewing, photographing and filming cast and crew from the annual BBC Panto and then producing interesting social media content to help promote the shows.

The children worked with tight deadlines and jointly produced interesting reports, photos and video on the day.
