Mystery of old postcard.

Can any of our readers solve the mystery of the historical Bridlington Postcard?

This 1905 vintage postcard of the original Bridlington Spa building is rare for two reasons.

Firstly, there are very few postcards of the Victorian theatre before the devastating fire of October, 1906.

But secondly is the added mystery that the unusual writing on the back appears to be in some private cryptic script, possibly some form of shorthand.

The card is addressed to Fleet Street in the town of Bishop Auckland, near to the city Durham.

Thanks to Aled Jones for sending in the mysterious postcard.

Can any of our readers manage to decipher it?

    Hi! Cracked it!
It says: “Another one for your collection. Shouers (sic) hear to day. No more this time. Kind regards, (?). Y.
