A Remembrance service to mark fifty years since the start of Operation Banner in Northern Ireland will be held at the Bridlington War Memorial.
Mayor Liam Dealtry is helping to organise the event and is urging veterans and members of the public to attend the commemoration.
The service will be led by the Padre of the Bridlington Royal British Legion Revd. Matthew Pollard along with members of the Bridlington Excelsior Band and Northern Ireland veterans.
Everybody is welcome to attend the event which is being held on Saturday 17th August, with a 3pm start.
