There is plenty going on at St John’s Burlington over the next few months, with events and shows aimed to entertain all age groups.
A World Day of Prayer Service will take place at 2.pm on Friday 6th March – all are welcome to attend this special celebration which forms part of the Women’s World Day of Prayer event.
On 22nd March at 10.am its time to say thanks to mothers for all their hard work with a Family Friendly Mothering Sunday. Bring along your mum and help to make her day special.
A tradition that has lasted for decades is back for another afternoon at SJB on Monday 23rd March. The wonderful Daffodil Rally will see the fantastic Ad Hoc Singers entertaining the audience, with Lorna Staveley leading and Pamela Hankinson the speaker. The afternoon festivities start at 2pm
The ever-popular ‘Showtime’ variety concert returns on two dates. The first concert will be on Saturday 28th March at 2.15 pm and the second event will be held on Saturday 4th April at 7.15pm. Refreshments are available and prices are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children.
There are four Easter Sunday Services on 12th April. For early risers, the first service will be held on the North Beach at 6.am. the church will them host service sat 9am, 10.30 am and 6pm. All are very welcome to celebrate this special day on the church calendar. On Friday 8th May at 3.pm an afternoon celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day will see visitors celebrate in style.
International singers and stage stars Martin Neely and his wife Arabella will get toes tapping with their medley of memorable songs from the wartime era and beyond.
There is also a free afternoon tea and all guests are asked to come dressed for the occasion.
