Sad news after pony discovered ‘unresponsive’ .
Police have been in attendance at an enclosed paddock area at the junction of Easton Road and the A165 (Bessingby Hill) in Bridlington after the sad death of a pony.
The pony was discovered this morning and was unresponsive. Officers from the RSPCA were also in attendance after being a alerted by the police.
A spokesperson from Humberside Police said: “This morning (06/11/20) community officers have attended an enclosed paddock within the playing fields off the A165 (Bessingby Hill) following a report of a deceased horse.
A joint investigation has been conducted with RSPCA officers at the scene.”
“At this time it is believed the horse has sadly passed away due to natural causes and nothing to suggest any suspicious circumstances or malicious act.”
“Please can we reassure the community that we work closely with RSPCA around animal welfare.”
