The wonderful worlds of Marvel, Star Wars, Sci-Fi and lots more will join together for the Bridlington 2019 Comic Con.
The one-day convention will be held on Saturday 7th September at the Spa Royal Hall where comic, sci-fi, television and fantasy fans can meet some of the stars behind their favourite shows and movies.
Guests include TV legend Paul Chuckle, one half of The Chuckle Brothers, who brought the iconic Chucklevison TV to our screens from 1987 -2009 – the second longest running TV comedy show of all time.
Blue Peter star Peter Purvis will also be making an appearance. Best known for his BBC-TV children’s show, he also took part in Dr Who and hosted the Crufts dog show.
Other stars of screen, design, cartoon and stage include Wendy Padbury (Dr Who, Freewheelers, The Blood on Satan’s Claw), Andrew Lawden (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Ghostbusters 2, Pennyworth), Abbie ‘STABBY’ Rial (Graphic Artist and Illustrator), Rachael Smith (Artist – Doctor Who, Flimsy Kitten, Wired Up Wrong), Richard Piers Rayner (Artist – Batman, Captain America, Doctor Who), Gareth Sleightholme (Iron Shod Ape, Cthulhiad) and Lee Bradley (Star Wars, TMNT, Transformers).
Organisers are also promising a large range of traders and exhibitors, along with talks and question and answer sessions.
Other attractions include a Porsche 911 police car, table top games, virtual reality gaming, prop displays, creative zones and lego displays. There will also be the chance for photo opportunities with star guests and Bridlington’s own Mighty Lancer games will be setting up their stall for the day and welcoming visitors.
Entry is 11:00 – 4:00 and tickets are available at a special discounted online price
