Bridlington Priory has a great selection of live performances and services taking place in the historic church during September.
Renowned soprano Jessa Liversidge will be the star attraction on 7th September. ‘An Enchanted Evening’ starts at 7.30, with tickets priced at £5, (accompanied under 18s free).
Joining Jessa will be Bempton bass-baritone David Hinde accompanied by Malcolm Maddock on piano culminating in an evening of inspired music ranging from Oscar Hammerstein to Stephen Sondheim.
On Saturday 21st September at 7.00 pm the world-famous Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Brass Band will perform ‘Proms at the Priory’. Pomp and Circumstance and pretty much everything in between will be filling the eaves ancient Priory in a patriotic celebration of music.
The next morning, on Sunday May 22nd at 10.30 am, a service will be held to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Seabirds Preservation Act. The communion will mark the former Priory Rector Rev’d Harry Barnes-Lawrence and his role in seabird protection. There are no booking requirements for this service.
