A Sewerby-based dancer proved he is one of the best in the country by reaching a national final.
Alejandro Bradley, aged six, and his dance partner Olivia Jayne Atkinson, eight, attend the D’Angelo Dance Academy in Hull and are personally trained by Fabio and Amy D’Angelo.
His father Craig said: “They danced extremely well and made the final of the National League Under 10’s Foxtrot & Quickstep coming 7th.”
He added: “Within a month of dancing together they reached the finals of 16 competitions, spread across three different venues and due to their efforts they qualified for the ‘Champions of Tomorrow’ three-day dance festival which took place in January at the Winter Gardens Empress Ballroom in Blackpool.”
The popular and prestigious festival is celebrating its 34th year.
Alejandro, who is a pupil at Our Lady and St Peter’s school in Bridlington, started his dancing at the age of three and has performed numerous times at the Bridlington Spa with both Collette Tyler’s School of Dance and Keely’s School of Dance dancing tap, jazz, street dance and ballroom.
