Mystery surrounds the appearance of ‘home-made inspirational signs’ at a Flamborough beauty spot.
The signs, which are made from wood, have been screwed on to trees around the Danes Dyke nature reserve on the Flamborough headland.
Each sign contains an inspirational quote which is handwritten and several have been spotted next to the pathways in various places around the popular beauty spot.
One local dog walker, who uses the historic reserve for her exercise, was puzzled by the appearance of the signs.
The lady, who spoke exclusively to the Echo, said: “There are quite a few of them attached to trees around the walkways and woodland trails.”
She continued: “Each has an inspirational quote written in permanent marker pen. It looks like the wooden plaques have been varnished to keep them waterproofed.”
Each plaque has a random number, but it is unclear what this indicates.
One of the quotes reads: “Organise your life around your goals and top priorities and be intentional with everything you do.”
An East Riding of Yorkshire Council spokesperson said : “Our Countryside Access Team would welcome a conversation with the people responsible for erecting these items. Please contact us via email firstname.lastname@example.org“
