Roads around the Bempton, Speeton and Reighton areas are currently affected by deep snow which has caused drifting after being blown off fields overnight.

The road from Bridlington to Buckton has been described by ‘treacherous’ by one motorist, who said the highest parts of the route were particularly difficult due to wind blown snow casing drifting.

The B1229 (Bempton to Reighton) is said to be ‘almost impassable’ but it is understood that the main A roads are clear.
