Have you spotted a ‘spruce on the loose’…?

Over the festive period the Echo has received several reports of a Christmas Tree on the loose around the south side of Bridlington.

After further investigations we have discovered that the spruce is on an fitness drive to get back to long distance running in the New Year.

And the Echo can exclusively reveal the identity of the evergreen person beneath the tree-mendous outfit.

Karyn Hoggard, who owns Tiffins in the Old Town and also on Quay Road, decided to branch out and put some fun into, what has been something of a miserable, year by keeping her fitness programme going and running in a Christmas tree outfit.

Plus, Karen has set up a Just Giving page (see link below) for people to donate to the mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

Said Karyn:”It all started as a bit of fun for the Bridlington Road Runners Advent Calendar, where members were asked to run and picture themselves in fancy dress.”

“This inadvertently became a talking point on social media as I was spotted along the seafront, so I decided to try and spread some more Xmas cheer whilst raising some funds for C.A.L.M.” added Karyn.
