As part of the RNLI Mayday fundraising, the Mayday Mile, volunteer crew at Flamborough aim to collectively cover 205 miles during the month of May.
Flamborough Lifeboat covered a total of 205 operational miles last year and crew members plan to match this in a variety of way, including walking, running, cycling, swimming and sailing.
The month long event will commence at 10.00am on Saturday 1 May when our good friend Stormy Stan will walk between Flamborough lifeboat station at South Landing and the lighthouse at Flamborough Head.
Throughout the month crew members will add miles with their individual challenges. Progress can be followed on our facebook pages ‘Flamborough RNLI' and ‘Flamborough Lifeboat Station'.
Donations will be gratefully received either directly or through our Just Giving page which can be found on the facebook pages.
