Long distance specialist Tony Hughes from Bridlington Road Runners completed the Hardwolds 80-mile race from Hessle to Filey recently. The route, which took in the full length of the Wolds Way, is run over 24 hours.

Tony finished five minutes behind BRR Tony Hall at 18 hours 23 minutes.

Pearl Bayford was completing this race as part of the Hardmoors Grand Slam and she showed a great deal of determination to finish due to an ongoing knee injury, she completed this inspiring feat in 21 hours.

Tony trained with James Riley who was a support runner for the last 32 miles from Wharram Percy to Filey. Tony is hoping to complete the 110 mile Hardmoors race next year.
