Sunshine Nursery recently underwent their Ofsted inspection and have been graded Outstanding in all areas.
Inspectors gave the early years setting top marks for quality of teaching, learning and assessment, stating: “Staff provide children with highly motivational opportunities to develop their creative skills.”
Staff were praised for their: “meticulous attention to understanding each child. Their exemplary use of the key-person system means that children settle quickly and build very secure bonds with their key person.”
Effectiveness of leadership and management was marked as outstanding with inspectors stating: “Safeguarding is effective. The well qualified staff are inspirational. They have a real thirst to continue to extend their knowledge and skills” was just one of many glowing remarks in the Ofsted report.
Children were judged to make excellent progress in learning and development, thanks to dedicated staff “Children are exceptionally well prepared for their future learning, including their move on to school”
The Nursery Manager Dawn Clayton said: “We are delighted with the judgement. All staff work extremely hard and everyone is over the moon at the outcome. It is a fitting end for Sunshine Nursery.”
From September, Sunshine Nursery will merge with the Bridlington Nursery School.
Head Teacher Claire White said: “We have very exciting times ahead, two outstanding nurseries coming together to ensure the very best start for children. We look forward to the continued support from all our parents and the governing body.”
