Friends of The Chalk Tower Flamborough hosted a talk on the Past, Present and Future of Coral Reefs at the YWT, Living Seas Centre.
Professor Callum Roberts, a marine conservation biologist, oceanographer and author delivered a fascinating and thought provoking talk to an audience of around 30 people.
The event was held to raise awareness of the group’s plans to open the historic Tower to the public and raised over £120 for their cause.
A wooden model of The Chalk Tower took centre stage. This was very kindly made for the group by John Fletcher from Scunthorpe and also acts as a donation box.
The Friends are in the process of signing a formal agreement with ERYC to open the ground floor of the Tower to the public next year and would like to thank everyone for their support.
