This stunning image shows what is know as a Microburst and was captured on Wednesday by Sammy Johnson.
Sammy was looking out over Filey Bay from her home at Reighton when she saw the dramatic incoming clouds.
A Microburst is defined as a localised column of sinking air (otherwise known as a downdraft) and can occur as part of a hailstorm and is normally smaller than two-and-a-half-miles in diameter.
Despite the menacing looking clouds the weather event passed over without incident.
