A popular sight at Flamborough North Landing- the tractor that is used to pull fishing boats up the beach – has been vandalised overnight and also earlier in the week.
The proprietors of the popular North Landing Boat Tours, who own the tractor and were gearing up for the start of the season, said: “Two windows smashed in less than a week..come on folks I know she isnt much to look at but really…”
Rocks from the cliffs, had been hurled through the cab windows of the vehicle, and there has also been damage the bodywork.
Glass from the shattered windscreen and side windows was left strewn around part of the beach and slipway, along with smashed beer bottles and two disposable barbecues. This has now been cleared up
An early morning local dog walker – who visits the beauty spot on a regular basis – was annoyed by the scene of devastation.
She said: “What is the point…why must people do things like this. It is pathetic that some idiots get their kicks out of damaging things that belong to other people – especially as the tractor is used to help local fishing families earn a living.”
Owners of the nearby Boathouse Burger and Grill are checking CCTV to help identify the culprits.
