The team at Brightening Up Bridlington (BUB) have once again been out on the streets of the town, this time as part of the National Spring Clean campaign.
Last month they teamed up with councilors from Bridlington Town Council and as a consequence were able to cover a greater number of streets and the seafront areas of the resort.
Over 20 black bags of rubbish were collected from areas such as Moorfield Road car park, Cambridge Street, Swindon Street, Oxford Street areas; the river bed at St. John’s Avenue was once again tackled, along with the southside seafront, new Burlington Road, West Street and Hilderthorpe Road areas.
The green spaces in the town centre were targeted in an additional blitz to spruce up the town, ready for the season. Thanks must go to to ERYC Streetscene for the collection of the full bags of rubbish. The team at BUB are always keen to attract more new members and invite anyone to join in on each third Saturday of the month. Watch or message our Facebook page for latest times and locations. All equipment is provided and we do like to hear from members of the public of areas they think the team should target next.
All litter picks are undertaken at own risk.
