It may be pouring down, it may be unseasonably cold, but dozens of intrepid walkers are taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge today to raise funds for the Mini and Junior section at Bridlington Rugby Club.

Lee Warley and Dan Cunningham, coaches at Bridlington Mini Rugby have organised the fundraiser and together with parents, senior players, coaches, family and friends are set to take on the challenge today – Saturday, 5 August.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres), usually in this order, and the challenge must be completed in under 12 hours. These hills form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Said Lee: “Any donation big or small will help towards keeping our minis and junior club running for our future generations of players.
“Thank you for taking the time to read, any donation is greatly welcomed.”
