Steve Boldrini swapped wheelie bins for beer pumps and helped raise more than £500 for a local animal rescue charity during a special fundraising event at The Kings Arms on King Street.
The popular Bridlington figure stepped behind the bar for one night only, serving customers and collecting donations in aid of Purr-fect Pals Rescue.
The event, inspired by a light-hearted Bridlington Echo feature, attracted strong support from regulars and visitors, with customers buying Steve a drink – which he kindly donated to the charity instead.
Organisers have now revealed the total raised stands at an impressive £513.30.
Purr-fect Pals Rescue thanked everyone who donated and supported the fundraiser, saying: “Wow, wow, wow – thank you to everyone that donated. We love you all.”
They also thanked The Kings Arms for hosting the event and coming up with the fundraising idea.
The successful evening raised vital funds for the rescue charity while providing plenty of laughs for customers.
