A new psychological thriller by Bridlington author Rebecca Phillipson has officially been launched at a special event in the town.

Family, friends, readers and supporters gathered at the Seacourt Hotel open South Marine Drive to celebrate the release of The New Girl Inside, Rebecca’s latest novel, which promises plenty of twists, suspense and intrigue.
The launch event featured a homemade buffet, raffle, games, prosecco on arrival and the opportunity for guests to purchase signed copies of the book. Tables were filled with copies of the novel, while guests were also able to take part in a range of activities throughout the afternoon.

The New Girl Inside centres on 25-year-old Sophie Walker, who wakes up tied to a metal bed frame in what appears to be a psychiatric ward. She soon discovers she is actually in prison following a serious crime that everyone believes she committed. The problem is that Sophie has no memory of the events in question.
Described as a “gritty, twisty thriller”, the novel combines psychological suspense with mystery as readers follow Sophie’s fight for survival and her search for answers.
The launch marks another milestone for Rebecca, who continues to build a following among readers of crime and psychological fiction.

Guests at the Seacourt Hotel were able to meet the author, have books personally signed and celebrate the publication of a story that has already generated interest among local readers.
