A Bridlington woman is preparing to lead a charity walk in support of her sister-in-law while raising vital funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Sarah Tudor has organised the fundraising event, which will take place on Sunday, October 25, starting outside Richies on Southside, Princess Mary Promenade.
The walk has already received tremendous support from the local community, with donations flooding in and the original fundraising target being smashed within just a week.

Among those backing the appeal are local businesses Harbourside Flavours and Uppercutz Hair Salon, where collection boxes have been placed to encourage further donations. Friends, family members and local residents have also contributed generously.
The fundraiser has been organised in support of Tracey Johnson, who underwent major surgery in July after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Tracey had a craniotomy to remove as much of the tumour as possible and is now awaiting further treatment, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Sarah said she wanted to do something meaningful to support Tracey and her family during what will be a long and challenging journey.
Tracey is a devoted mum to four children – Darcy, Betsy, Bobby and George – as well as a much-loved wife, daughter, sister and friend.
Sarah contacted The Brain Tumour Charity, which has pledged its support for the event by providing T-shirts, medals and fundraising materials.
She said the overwhelming response from the Bridlington community has been “amazing” and hopes even more people will join the walk to show Tracey how much she is loved and supported.
