Bridlington branch of the Royal Naval Association (RNA) celebrated their 50th anniversary on Wednesday 14th February, 2024.
Members of the branch gathered at The Seacourt Hotel and Restaurant for a celebration dinner in February with around 50 shipmates in attendance.
A certificate of congratulations was received for the branch from RNA Central Office based in Portsmouth.
The event also marked the celebration of a decade as Chairman of the veterans group for shipmate Martin Jolly.
Martin took the reins in 2014 having previously been the branch standard bearer. He was presented with a certificate of achievement by the branch and was presented with a commemorative Royal Naval boots and ceremonial cap statue by secretary Mike Rubery.
The Royal Naval Association Bridlington Branch meet monthly formeetings and have many social events throughout the year. They also help and support the armed forces community during significant military occasions and support any events in the community when requested to do so.
