The renowned work of Luigi St. Omer and and Ron Henry is now exhibiting in Burton Agnes Hall’s Long Gallery and is on display until 30th September.
Luigi’s work is modern, with traditional themes. His art speaks of a love of colour and of the past, the rural Caribbean life of the 1960’s and 1970’s, its landscapes, fishermen and market vendors. Luigi is the second son of Sir Dunstan St. Omer, the celebrated artist and muralist who designed the national flag of Saint Lucia. Ron Henry was born in the picturesque community of Choiseul, known as the art capital of Sain
t Lucia. He draws inspiration from the World Heritage volcanic spires known as the Pitons – which form the backdrop of his childhood home – the Caribbean Sea, the flora and fauna and the tropical blue skies.
The exhibition runs until 30th September. Normal house admission applies.
