Firefighters are still in attendance at the Carnaby Household Recycling Site near Bridlington after a fire at the premises.
Humberside Fire and Rescue attended the incident in the early hours of this morning (30th August).
A number of firefighters and vehicles are still at the scene, though the the fire was quickly dealt with and soon extinguished.
The area of the incident is not open to the public, so the area for household recycling is still open as normal.
A spokesperson for East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: “Carnaby Household Waste Recycling Site is still open to the public this morning, despite a fire in the building overnight.
“Firefighters are still at the site. but the fire has affected a part of the building not open to the public, so it is still safe for people to take their recycling and waste as normal.”
