• Adrian Costello had been manager for two years after replacing Mike Thompson.
• Costello remained manager after the purchase of Bridlington Town by green energy company HDM Worldwide after owner Pete Smurthwaite put the club up for sale.
• The Seasiders are presently languishing in the relegation zone in Northern Premier League Division One East and haven’t won any of their five matches this season.
In a statement from the Chairman of Bridlington Town Dan Rogers released the following statement on the club’s social media platforms:
“We announce, by mutual consent, the release of Adrian Costello and appointment of Denny Ingram as Manager.
“When we took over the reins from Pete Smurthwaite, Adie kindly agreed to stay on in his role to ensure continuity at the club during the transitional period that followed.
“Despite significant delays caused by lawyers behind the scenes, Adie stepped up the plate, went above and beyond netting us some great signings for the season with just 4 weeks notice.
“Challenges remain, but I personally would like to thank Adie for his passion and professional service to the club and look forward to continuing to work with him as he continues to assist the club in other areas.
“We remain resolute in our ambition to take Bridlington Town to Conference North within 5 years and we must project the professional image that we want to be. To this end, we are also delighted to announce the appointment of Bridlington stalwart Gavin Branton as Chief Executive of the club a separate statement will be issued by Gavin in due course.

Former Hartlepool United, Scarborough , Forest Green and Halifax Town player Ingram, 48, joined the Seasiders during the summer as assistant to Costello. He was previously player-manager at Pickering Town and the UEFA B level coach holds a sport coaching degree.
