The Queensgate ground of Bridlington Town will play host for team to take part in a memorial fundraising football match this Sunday (18th July).
Hull4Heroes will be taking on the Ex Hill City Tigers at Bridlington Town Football Club in the charity match.
The match will be played in memory of friends George Ellis and Damon Hakin – both formerly of the 1st Batallion Yorkshire Regiment – who sadly took their own lives within a month of each other.
Organiser Paul Matson said:”Our aim is to raise both vital funds for the work that Hull 4 Heroes do and also more importantly to raise awareness of the struggles faced when leaving the forces and promoting the need to talk.”
Members of the newly formed Bridlington Andys Man Club will also be in attendance.
The day starts at 11am with a junior game between Hull United Blacks u12’s and the Burlington Jackdaws
The main match will kick off at 1pm.
Added Paul: “Entry is just a donation on the gate with stalls, raffles and bouncy castle… so please bring your family and friends down and join us in having a great day to support an amazing cause.”
