Fire crews were called to Morrisons car park on Bessingby Way, Bridlington, on Sunday 24 May after reports of a campervan on fire. Emergency services arrived at the scene during the afternoon and quickly began work to bring the blaze under control.

Firefighters used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus teams and a thermal image camera during the incident. Shoppers and members of the public nearby watched as crews worked to contain the fire and ensure the area was safe.

Thankfully, no injuries have been reported. Following the incident, the vehicle was left in the care of its owner after firefighters completed their operation. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed.
