A fish and chip shop is celebrating national recognition after being named a finalist in one of the industry’s biggest awards.
Lighthouse Fisheries has secured a place in the final of the English Fish & Chips Awards 2026 in the Best Coastal Fish & Chips category, following public nominations and votes alongside 20 other shortlisted businesses from across the country.
Sharing the news, the Lighthouse team said they were “pleased” and “humbled” to once again represent both the business and Flamborough on a national stage.
The spokesman for the business said: “A huge thank you for your support and we are humbled again to showcase Lighthouse Fisheries and Flamborough on the national stage.”
The announcement has already attracted praise from supporters, with one message reading: “Congratulations, what an amazing achievement!”
Judges are expected to visit finalists in the coming weeks before selecting an overall winner and highly commended entries in each category.
