Bessingby Hill (A165) is currently closed this morning (27th September) between the Easton Road and Bessingby Road (Hospital) junction due to flooding after heavy overnight rain.

Overnight rain and wind has also left large areas of standing water on several roads and debris from trees had fallen or blown on to the carriageway.

Heavy traffic is reported around the Brett Street, Borough Road and St John’s Avenue area as motorists try to find a route away from the ongoing Quay Road closure.
