A Bridlington resident has celebrated her 105th birthday – and has received a card from the King to mark the special occasion.
Alice Brown, who is a resident at the Sandy Lane Hotel on Sands Lane, has lived through many changes and has spent much of her life in Bridlington where her late husband used to run a fish and chip shop.
Despite her years, Alice who turned 105 on 17 June, is still sprightly and sings daily and can even recite the alphabet backwards.
As part of her birthday celebration, Alice had many visitors at a party held at her daughters house and also had a live streamed video to some of her family who now live in Australia.
